​Improve Video Creation Flow in Social Media Manager – Add Image Selection Step

→ Select “Video” as Visual Type

Current Behavior

• When the user selects “Video” as the visual type, the system:

• Automatically generates a social post

• Creates a caption

• Generates an 8-second AI video

1. There is no option for the user to:

• Choose how the video is generated

• Select a specific image from Media Assets for video creation

Problem

• Users assume ClickGrow already supports creating AI videos from a specific image

• The current flow does not provide this option, which:

• Creates confusion

• Causes a mismatch between user expectation and actual functionality

• Limits creative control over AI video generation

Expected Improvement / New Flow

After the user selects “Video” as the Visual Type, introduce an additional step before video generation.

New Step: Video Creation Method Selection

Show the user 2 options:

1. Create Video Automatically

• AI generates the video using available Brand Intelligence assets

• Uses scanned website content, uploaded media, and brand context

1. Create Video Using a Specific Image

• User can select 1 image from Brand Intelligence → Media Assets

• AI generates a video using the selected image as the base

Expected Behavior

• User must choose one of the two options before the video is generated

• If Option 2 is selected:

• Open Media Asset picker

• Allow image selection

• Use the selected image to generate the AI video

1. Caption generation behavior remains unchanged

Why This Improvement Is Needed

• Aligns platform behavior with customer expectations

• Improves clarity and control in the video creation flow

• Reduces confusion and support requests

• Enhances perceived product capability and flexibility

Acceptance Criteria

• Selecting “Video” does not immediately generate a video

• A new step with two clear options is displayed

• User can successfully:

• Generate a video automatically OR

• Generate a video using a selected image

1. No regression in caption generation or scheduling flow

Notes

• This is a UX flow enhancement, not a backend limitation fix

• Keep UI simple and consistent with existing Create Post flow

• Ensure this works for both Agency and Sub-Accounts
